The Best-Dressed Men at the Met Gala 2024

While us Brits see the first Monday in May as an extension of the weekend, across the pond, celebs and stylists are prepping for one of the biggest night in the fashion calendar: the Met Gala. Outfits from the the night will have populated your social media feeds this morning, making your dead-eyed morning doom scroll just a little nicer to look at.

This year's exhibition, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, explores how technology can help bring life to pieces deemed too old to wear again, but last night's affair had looks that took the fairy tale element... well, literally. There were plenty of floral motifs and whimsical suit jackets. Plenty of over-the-top, playful bijoux, too. In fact, the men at the Met weren't afraid to get a bit fantastical with their black tie, proving that eccentric tailoring needn't just lean into retro silhouettes.
